Travel directions to Beaulieu House at Cat Island
from Savannah
and I-95 North
- Exit 8 to Route 278 East toward Hilton Head
(look for the small green Beaufort Sign--approxomately 4 miles from
I-95) a shortcut to Route 170 North; if you miss it, there is a
Route 170 North exit with signage to Beaufort. After you cross the
Broad River Bridge immediately turn right on Route 802 East
.
- Follow 802 past the Parris Island Entrance,
Port Royal Access, and the US Naval Hospital. You will see signs
for Hunting and Fripp Islands. Turn right at the light (Citgo, CVS and Hardee's are signposts). Follow Routes 802 East / 21 South and take the McTeer high-level bridge
across the intercoastal waterway (Beaufort River). Take the first
right, Islands Causeway.
- It is 3 miles to Beaulieu House at the end of the road. You
will see a sign on the cul de sac saying, "Road Ends;" Beaulieu
House is located on the right. The houses are Flamingo Pink with
Grasshopper Green shutters.

Take Exit 33 and follow the signs
to Beaufort. You will come to Route 21 South.

After passing the Marine Corp Air Station, and on
further, Burger King, Checkers, and Applebees, get in the left lane.
Follow the signs marked Hwy. 21 Business, Historic Beaufort,
USCB (Univ. South Carolina Beaufort ). This route will take
you past the Visitors Center (Chamber of Commerce). Follow Carteret pass Bay Street (downtown) to Lady's Island.

Cross the old revolving bridge to Lady's Island
and take the 1st right at Meridian Road (White Hall
sign leads to a development). Meridian ends at Route
802. Take a right and immediately get into the left turn
lane. Turn left onto Islands Causeway. It is 3 miles to Beaulieu House at the end of the road. You will see a sign on the cul de sac saying, "Road Ends;" Beaulieu House is located on the right. The houses are Flamingo Pink with Grasshopper Green shutters.
